The story of the VERGEZ logo is deeply tied to Philippe Vergez’s Basque heritage.  The emblematic representation of a cross formed by four lily flowers, denoting excellence, illumination, freedom and vitality, bears notable cultural significance in Philippe Vergez’s ancestral Basque region of the Labourd, as evidenced by its inclusion alongside a lion in the province's coat of arms. The Fleur de Lys motif has been an enduring familial emblem since the 14th century.

As he crafted the logo, Philippe embedded the lilies within the letter “V,” symbolizing both his name and the values of freedom and self-expression. But there was something more—he discreetly added a fifth flower, hidden among the four lilies. This subtle detail might be missed at first glance, but it carries a profound meaning. The hidden flower is a symbol of mystery, representing the personal journey of self-discovery. For Philippe, it’s a reminder that beauty and identity often lie in the small, unseen details.

As Philippe explained, "At first, you might not notice the hidden flower. But once you place a gemstone or color behind it, it suddenly leaps into view—and once you’ve seen it, you can't unsee it. It’s like a moment of illumination, carrying personal meanings like self-discovery, elevation, or even duality."

With this design, the VERGEZ logo became more than just a symbol of luxury and elegance. It became a bridge between his family’s history and the innovative, bold spirit of his jewelry designs, a reflection of both tradition and individuality.
